It was. It was also a last minute scramble to setup. Almost like nobody had figured out that it was gonna be a thing, or what. I was running the lighting for the stage, and halfway into the show, I got drafted to be the guy, because I had a view of the stage, one of the radios already, and the phones were originating in the little lighting control hut. All they needed was to find a spare national park service radio for me to use. And someone to hold the mic up to my face as I counted down. So one of the rangers did that. I had a phone on each side of my head, one hand on the blackout button of the light board, and the other holding my radio, so the other lighting tech could turn off the breaker for the walkway lights on the Washington monument grounds.
